The Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship (MSN Championship) in association with MSVR is delighted to announce that Michelin have renewed their partnership with the national championship for the 2017/18 season, extending their support as official tyre partner for a third year.  Competitors will once again have the opportunity to run on the top class rubber from Michelin as well as benefit from the advice and knowledge accumulated throughout the company’s 136 years in racing.

The partnership builds on Michelin’s reputation as a tyre manufacturer synonymous with rallying. Competitors can take advantage of the Michelin Pilot Sport R tyre, a new innovative tyre used in the WRC to provide Total Performance in both wet and dry.

“We are extremely proud to have Michelin as our partner for a third year. Competitors will once again have the opportunity to run on the top class rubber from Michelin as well as benefit from the advice and knowledge accumulated throughout the company’s 136 years in racing. This partnership builds on Michelin’s reputation as a tyre manufacturer synonymous with rallying.  We are extremely proud to have Michelin as our partner. Michelin has proven to be the best tyre for many of our Championship competitors,” said MSN Championship Co-ordinator Darren Spann. “The drivers enjoy these tyres, and Michelin gives them a superior service, we’re delighted to have them on board once again.”

Also returning for 2017/18 is the Michelin Cup, a specially designed championship run within the overall championship for competitors running on Michelin rubber.  For teams competing in the Michelin Cup series it gives them chance to compete for free tyres on each round of the circuit rallying championship.  Both The MSN Championship and the Michelin Cup will kick-off at Oulton Park in November 2017 before continuing to a spring 2018 finale.

Tim Hoare, Michelin Motorsport Manager UK and Ireland commented: “We are proud to continue supporting this innovative championship for a third year running.  This championship gives us an opportunity to engage with club rally competitors and demonstrates how the Michelin Total Performance Rally product can deliver value for money high performance to our customers”.
