25 Aug Torq Races In
The MSN Circuit Rally Championship in association with MSVR, featuring the Michelin Cup and the Protyre Challenge is delighted to announce a brand-new partnership with Torq Racewear, which sees them installed as Official Racewear Provider for the 2018-19 Championship season.
Now in its fourth year, the MSN Circuit Rally Championship has teamed up with the prestigious Torq Racewear to ensure its officials are kept warm and safe in the latest racewear at all 8 rounds.
Designed in the UK, but manufactured in Italy, Torq are proud to mix fashion with motorsport, providing striking modern designs without compromising on safety, durability or performance. The custom racewear that Torq Racewear provide fits with the values that the MNCRC has installed throughout its four years.
As part of the partnership, Torq Racewear will provide both the Championship Environmental Scrutineer and his trainee with a custom race suit to be worn in the refuelling area. In a huge safety move, the Championship was one of the first in the country to introduce a dedicated refuelling zone and this returns for the 2018-19 season. The refuelling zone is seen as a vital part of the Championship’s enduring appeal towards safety.
Furthermore, Torq will provide pairs of race and mechanics gloves, worth up to £400 at the End of Season Awards for our Michelin Cup, Protyre Challenge and Championship winners, as well as prizes for our spirit of the championship award winner. In return the Torq logo will appear on all official MSN Rally Championship media and all new vehicle decal packs.
Darren Spann, Championship Co-ordinator enthused; “I am delighted to have formed this partnership with one of the most up and coming racewear brands. It allows us to invest in creating a safer refuel zone and give benefits to you the competitor. The UK distributor of Torq Racewear; Vital Equipment will carry stock at each round of the championship and are able to give a wealth of advice in helping you choose your racewear.”
Martin Farmer, Torq Racewear Owner added; “Torq are proud to partner with the Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship, through our UK distributor Vital Equipment who, already provide fuel for the series. As a relatively new brand and, one that has started its initial growth with circuit racing it is important to expand into other areas of motorsport. Partnering with the championship is a perfect way to do this. It will bring our brand to a new audience but also importantly, the professionalism of how the championship is run is key to our involvement. Due to this we are sure that all parties can extract the maximum benefits from this new partnership.”
The news of the new partnership comes hot on the heels of registrations opening for its fourth season. Alongside a revamped Michelin Cup and a brand-new TV deal, there is much to look forward during the 2018-19 season.
