13 Aug Protyre Signs For 2020-21 Season
The MSN Circuit Rally Championship (MSNCRC) in association with MSVR, featuring the Michelin Cup and the Protyre Challenge are delighted to announce the return of the Protyre Challenge after extending its partnership with sponsor Protyre ahead of the 2020-21 season.
Following a successful season, which saw the re-launch of the Protyre Challenge, the renewal of this exciting partnership sees Protyre once again installed as the official Tyre Supplier.
As an official partner, Protyre Motorsport will be on hand to provide all drivers with a range of great tyres and prices at all Championship events.
Maintaining a competitive advantage in motorsport is a constant challenge, but this partnership once again allows MSNCRC competitors the opportunity to access Protyre Motorsport’s Tyre Services, and their range of ultra-high-performance tyres at competitive prices, on all eight rounds.
As part of the partnership, the Protyre Challenge returns. Last year saw the Challenge relaunched with a new logo and a great range of prizes. Providing MSN Circuit Rally Championship competitors with smaller budgets, the opportunity to compete for honours and win tyres from Protyre, it is a separate challenge, integrated into the MSNCRC, which is run over four rounds (1-4 & 5-8).
With the introduction of two brand new classes to the 2020-21 season, competitors must be now be in either Class A, B, C, the Historic Class or MX5 Class, and run on 15” or less diameter wheels with tyres purchased from Protyre.
These can be pre-ordered by competitors and brought to the event by Protyre Motorsport, who will have a truck in attendance at every round throughout the season.
Darren Spann, Championship co-ordinator, enthused: “It’s excellent to be able to announce an extension in our partnership with Protyre Motorsport. We have enjoyed a long and successful relationship with the brand, and there’s little doubt that they are the perfect fit for this championship”
Shaun Chetwyn, the Protyre Motorsport Manager added: “We are very proud to announce our continued support of the MSN Circuit Rally Championship for another season. Over the years the Championship has become the number 1 choice for circuit rallying and their constant growth is a testament to Darren, his team and all the competitors who form the MSN Rally family”.
In line with government guidelines and current Motorsport UK advice, the championship is looking forward to a November start-date with the Neil Howard Stages at Oulton Park.
Further visits to Cadwell Park and Donington Park will follow prior to Christmas 2020, before resuming again in January 2021 with a visit to Brands Hatch. A second visit to Cadwell Park is then followed by trips to Snetterton and Anglesey before finishing in March at Donington Park.
