New Photo Tie-Up

The MSN Circuit Rally Championship (MSNCRC) in association with MSVR, featuring the Michelin Cup and the Protyre Challenge are proud to announce a brand-new partnership with leading photography and video firm Wex Photo Video.

With over 20 years industry experience, Wex Photo Video has helped over 800,000 photographers and videographers achieve their goal, and now in conjunction with the MSNCRC will seek to encourage the next generation of photographers and videographers within UK motorsport.

Darren Spann, Championship co-ordinator, enthused; “I am absolutely delighted to be forming this innovative partnership with Wex. It gives us the opportunity to help all the budding photographers out there who enjoy our sport so much and, further expand the championships reach”.

In conjunction with Wex Photo Video, we are launching two brand new photography competitions, giving all spectators, whatever their age a chance to get involved.

A new Junior Competition, open to anyone under 16 will take place at every round, while there will also be a Photographer of the Year award which will take place over four rounds. The best shots from rounds 1-4 and rounds 5-8 will each winning a great prize package. Further details to be announced.

Paul Wareham, Wex Photo Video Marketing Director, said; “It’s great to be collaborating with the MSNCRC for the forthcoming championship. It’s a superb platform, allowing us to support photographers of all ages and skillsets, with helpful advice on hand via the surgery sessions plus our ‘top tips’ on motorsports photography we’ll be creating over the championship rounds.”

Furthermore, the winning shots will also be published in Motorsport News, and on all Championship and Wex social media. The competitions are open to amateur photographers shooting from public areas. An expert panel comprising of a Wex Guru and the Championship’s official photographer, Steve McKenna, will consider the applications.

In addition to these fantastic competitions, Wex Photo Video will be running surgery sessions the day before Rounds 1, 3, 4 and 8, giving hints and tips on all thing’s photography and video, with our official photographer Steve McKenna and Torque’s Tom Baker.

I am delighted and excited to be working with Wex over the coming season and look forward to seeing your shots – Is it camera time yet??”

The news comes at an exciting time for the MNCRC, with registrations for the 2019-20 season now open, and further enhances our media package for competitors and spectators alike.

The Championship kicks off in November with the Neil Howard Stages at Oulton Park, before heading to Cadwell Park and Knockhill Circuit before Christmas 2019. Resuming in January 2020, the Championship heads to Brands Hatch, before returning to Cadwell Park in early February. Rounds at Snetterton and Anglesey follow, before a brand-new finale at Donington Park in March 2020. Full dates are available on our website.

  • 1 March 2020 – Lee Holland Rally. Anglesey.
  • 15 March 2020 – Donington Rally. Donington Park.
