10 Aug Exciting New Calendar Announced for 2021-22
The MSN Circuit Rally Championship in association with MSVR Racing, featuring the Michelin Cup and Protyre Challenge is delighted to announce its calendar for the 2020-21 season.
After a Covid-enforced reduced calendar for 2020-21, Britain’s premier circuit rallying series will once again feature eight rounds across seven circuits, with events visiting the length and breadth of England and Wale, including a brand-new two-day event at Anglesey Trac Mon and returning the finale back to its April date.
In a return to familiarity, the series will once again kickstart at Oulton Park in November 2021, with the Neil Howard Stages in a/w Graham Coffey & Co. Solicitors, and a fireworks and bonfire spectacular, ensuring action on and off the track.
The Championship then takes in the first of two visits to both Cadwell Park and Donington Park in December. After a mid-season break, action resumes in January with a visit to Brands Hatch.
In a rejig of the calendar, the Championship heads to Wales on the final weekend in January for a two-day event. After the success of the two-event weekend format introduced due to Covid, The ND Civils Lee Holland Stages will run across both the Saturday and Sunday in an attempt to give competitors more mileage at Wales’ premier circuit.
Returning to England with a visit to Snetterton in February, the Championship heads back to Donington at the beginning of March before concluding at Cadwell Park on April 3rd.
The rejigged calendar, which sees events spaced out at least two weeks apart, will once again will offer crews a challenging, action-packed campaign visiting the UK’s best circuits, universally popular with competitors and spectators alike. The extended breaks between rounds will ensure competitors benefit due to the harsh nature of winter rallying.
The range of events, and high rallying mileage further underlines the MNCRC’s standing as Britain’s premier domestic circuit rally championship.
